7 Once again in the 2014/2015 season, KG Regenbogen will be organising the “Tunte Lauf” (drag queen race) event, one of the most weird and whacky and most definitely col­- ourful events of Düsseldorf’s Carni- val. Since 1996, drag queens have hit the catwalk for a good cause. Along with the queens of the night, various music acts heat up the vibe. As in the past, tickets and donations go to Heartbreaker, the support group of AIDS-Hilfe Düsseldorf e. V. April 2000 von elf feierwütigen Jecken gegrün- det. Mit inzwischen über 450 Mitglie- EventsEvents 3 dern ist sie der zweit­größte Karne- valsverein in Düsseldorf. Seit 2001 ist die KG Regenbogen regelmäßig im Rosenmontagszug mit der größten Fußtruppe vertreten – im Jahr 2002 erstmals mit einem Mottowagen. Immer voran: der bergische Löwe in Pink! Neben den Schlossturm­lerchen (Parodie) und dem neu formierten Sessions-Einsatz-Kommando (Tanz) ist die KG Regenbogen stolz darauf, mit Deutschlands erstem schwulem Gardetanzpaar ein weiteres Highlight im Düsseldorfer Karneval zu bieten. KG Regenbogen e. V. is a gay/lesbian carnival club in Düsseldorf found­ed on 16 April 2000 by eleven carnival fans who love to party. It now has more than 450 members and is Düsseldorf’s second-largest carnival club. Since 2001, KG Regenbogen has been taking part in the big parade on carnival Monday, Rosenmontagszug, providing the biggest group on foot, and in 2002 it participated with a theme float for the first time. Always in front: the Bergish Lion (Düsseldorf’s emblem) in pink!
