Horst Wackerbarth: heimat 17.09–23.10.2016 NRW-Forum Düsseldorf www.nrw-forum.de Since August 2014, the photo artist Horst Wackerbarth has been travel- ling all over North Rhine-Westphalia with his red couch, producing por- traits of themes, people and places that are typical of this federal state. Alongside these new works from the “heimat.nrw” project, supported by the NRW Foundation, the exhibition – being staged as a retrospective – also presents older, previously un- seen works by Wackerbarth. Concept art took the place of painting. More than 200 works by Carl Andre or Sol LeWitt are contrasted with works by Jackson Pollock, Robert Rauschenberg and Andy Warhol to demonstrate this transformation.
