Beuys & Düsseldorf

Joseph Beuys left his mark on Düsseldorf, and not only in art. From the 1960s until his death and beyond, Beuys has always been present in Düsseldorf. Whether in galleries, pubs, or on the banks of the Rhine. The bike tour takes you along the Rhine to the old town, either coming from Leverkusen or, as Beuys did every day, from Oberkassel across the Oberkassler Bridge and the Rhine towards the Art Academy.

Length: 29.4 km
Vertical meters: 113 m
Duration: 1 h 35 min

The special Beuys moment on the road:

Crossing the Rhine like Beuys. As a bicycle rider, however, dry feet over the Oberkassler Bridge instead of in the dugout canoe.

The perfect Instagram motif:

Capture the view of Düsseldorf's old town from Oberkassel.

The Beuys quote fits this stage:

"Every person is an artist."

Fat burning:
