We tell you where you can get delicious drinks on the go

Going for a walk and dating in the fresh air have been high on the agenda since the outbreak of the pandemic. So what could be more natural than enjoying your after-work drink outdoors as well? Many bars and pubs (still) offer their cocktails to go. We present six of them to you.

Nature boys Flingern

The Naturburschen in Flingern may not have a liquor license, but they can still provide you with alcoholic drinks for on the go. There are twelve handcrafted long drinks and cocktails from Marc&Philipp in the refrigerated counter, including the Moscow Mule, classic Aperol Spritz or the Suffering Bastard. Instead of artificial flavors and concentrates, the start-up uses juices and purees freshly pressed from the fruit. You can taste it. Cheers!

Casita Mexicana

Do you know what the absolute "must try" is at Casita Mexicana? Besides the Margarita Clásica, which of course always goes, it's the Passion Mule: refreshing like its big brother Moscow Mule, and also a bit exotic thanks to the passion fruit puree. It's available for on-the-spot enjoyment on the terrace or in a to-go cup.

Drinks from the ship

Do you already know the restaurant ships at the Robert-Lehr-Ufer? They are moored below the Rhine Park. During Corona-free times you can sit there, enjoy a cool drink and let your eyes wander over the Rhine. And if the pandemic throws a spanner in the works, at least there are still the drinks and the great view to enjoy during a walk.

Düsseldorf Yacht Club

North of the Theodor Heuss Bridge, on the grounds of the Düsseldorf Yacht Club, Ahmed Badr from the Va Lontano restaurant runs a bar with cool refreshments and small snacks. Like the sailors, his opening hours are based on the sun and he will be there for you until sunset. In addition to soft drinks and several types of beer, he offers a daily changing cocktail, including rhubarb spritzer with vodka and rosemary, Cuba libre or Lillet Blanc.

Sausalitos

Originally, the mojito comes from Havana. But with a view of the Rhine, the drink made of rum, sugar, lime juice, mint and soda water tastes at least as good. No wonder it's one of the bestsellers at Sausalitos on the Rhine. Either enjoy it directly on the spacious terrace or stroll along the promenade with it.
