How's it going, Düsseldorf?

Our podcast "All Rhine" for culture in times of Corona. What Mike Litt wants to know: How did the talk guests perceive the surreal times? What has changed for you? What projects are they working on now?
In Episode 18, Mike talks to Miguel Passarge, musical director of the zakk as well as creator of the festival "Lieblingsplatte".

In a former nail factory, a very special cultural venue of the city of Düsseldorf was created in the 1970s. The zakk - a cultural center that was brought to life with the spirit of the alternative scene of that time - has long been one of the most interesting and multifaceted locations in the republic. It is the only place in Düsseldorf where Rocko Schamoni, Katrin Bauerfeind or Max Goldt drop by for readings and where you can see Maximo Park, Idles or Thees Uhlmann & Band live.

Miguel Passarge has been the musical director of zakk for almost two decades and created a happening with charisma with the "Lieblingsplatte" festival. People who love music have traveled to Düsseldorf from all parts of the world to experience Element of Crime, Blumfeld, Mouse on Mars, The Notwist or the Fehlfarben perform their personal favorite albums exclusively at ZAKK. This year, this festival can also not take place as usual, but it will happen!

If you listen to our episode "All Rhine" with Miguel Passarge", you'll find out which online events to expect in December 2020. And what special significance zakk continues to have, even for established artists like Die Toten Hosen, and why the surroundings in Düsseldorf-Flingern are also worth a walk!
