Six terraces for the sunset in Düsseldorf

We reveal our six insider tips

The days are getting shorter, but it's still fun to spend the evening outside. Especially when you can enjoy a great sunset with cool drinks. We tell you from where you have the best view:

The Paris Club

Above the rooftops of Düsseldorf, more precisely on the 17th floor of the 25hours Hotel Das Tour, is the bar "The Paris Club". Ceilings up to seven meters high, fully glazed fronts and a terrace running across the corner provide a spectacular view. The gastronomic offer is largely French, whether beer, wine, gin or the freshly mixed cocktails.

Beachclub Rhine Park

Actually born out of (Corona) necessity, the beach club below the Rhine Park is the perfect place for a sundowner. Feet in the sand, a cool drink in your hand, and a view of the water from between the palm trees - it immediately gives you that vacation feeling. As things stand, the beach club will be open until August 31, 2020.

KIT

On balmy summer evenings on the terrace of the KIT Café , be sure to keep an eye on the Rheinknie Bridge. Because behind its high pylons, where the Rhine caresses southern Oberkassel, the red ball of fire seemingly sinks into the water. Those who like it even more comfortable can make themselves comfortable on one of the deck chairs on the city beach, which is only a few meters away.

Pebble's

Like an oversized shiny silver pebble, the futuristic Pebbleʼs Bar of the Hyatt Regency Hotel is enthroned on a headland in the Media Harbor. Thanks to its exposed location, it offers a fantastic panorama of the MedienHafen, the striking buildings of the old town and the Rhine. In such an ambience, one likes to watch the sun sink.

Tonhallen terrace

The Tonhalle was once a planetarium, but a view of the closest star to us, the sun, is also wonderfully possible from its terrace in the evening. Beanbags and folding and reclining chairs are available to enjoy the evening atmosphere in peace. Drinks and snacks can be purchased on site.

Fortuna Büdchen

It's THE classic, in fact not much more needs to be said about it. For many years, the Fortunabüdchen on Joseph-Beuys-Ufer has been a casual meeting place for an after-work beer. And thanks to the neighboring Rhine wall, it has one of the best box seats for the sunset.
