In Düsseldorf, people like to celebrate. And are just as happy to laugh. No wonder that one of the most renowned cabaret theatres in Germany is at home here.
Many stars of the cabaret had their big moments on the stage of the comedy theatre. To be on stage here is for many already an award. After all, you are in the best of company: Volker Pispers, Harald Schmidt, Hugo Egon Balder and Jochen Busse were already among the ensemble of the house at the Kay-and-Lore-Lorentz-Platz in the Altstadt (Old town). Incidentally, this is named after the two founders who established the comedy theatre in 1947 as a political-literary cabaret.
