Filmmuseum Düsseldorf

Schulstraße 4, 40213 Düsseldorf

In the footsteps of Charlie Chaplin, Federico Fellini, Alfred Hitchcock and Marlene Dietrich - in the Düsseldorf Film museum in the Düsseldorf Carlstadt, small and large devotional objects of the stars await their admirers.

The permanent collection stretches over four floors and offers much more than insight into the first steps of cinematography. In a reconstructed film studio, cinema fans are allowed to beam themselves to Hollywood, feeling like a director or movie star between the camera, wind machine and spotlights. The same address is also the home of the Black Box program cinema, in which classic films, thematic retrospectives and premieres are presented.
