How to get there

Public Transport

Deutsche Bahn AG, Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr (VRR) and the Rheinbahn are working hand in hand to ensure stress-free travel without traffic jams. The trip by subway (U-Bahn) from Düsseldorf’s main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) to the funfair stop “Luegplatz” takes only 7 minutes. Here’s how to get to the funfair:

Prices
With the new day ticket (TagesTicket) individuals or groups of up to five people can travel all day by bus and rail until 3:00 a.m. on the following day. The tickets are available from all ticket offices and from ticket vending machines. Children under the age of 6 travel free of charge.

Trains and buses will operate until 2:00 a.m. This also includes the neighbouring cities of Neuss, Krefeld, Meerbusch and Ratingen.

Car Parks

There are no car parks close to the funfair.
Please park your car or coach in the Messe P1 “Messe/Arena” car park. If using sat nav, enter your destination as “40474 Düsseldorf, Am Staad 100”. You will see signs for “Messe/Arena” throughout the Düsseldorf city area and when approaching on the motorway. Take the exit marked “29 Messe/Arena” to get to the large P1 car park.

The No. 890 shuttle runs from 2:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. at 15-minute intervals from here. The buses stop at the North entrance to the funfair site (Festwiese). Parking charges inclusive of shuttle bus are:

Car (incl. of all occupants) € 11.00
Bus (incl. of all occupants) € 15.00

Disabled parking
There are disabled parking spaces below the Rheinkniebrücke, South entrance; access from Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ring (Google Maps).

Five P&R car parks are connected to the parking guidance system:

The parking guidance system warns about traffic jams and provides drivers with a recommendation for the next available connection to public transport.

Environmental Zone in Düsseldorf

The city centre is an environmental zone. An emissions sticker must be purchased for motor vehicles of all types if they are being driven into the environmental zone.
