Julia Stoschek Collection,
Schanzenstraße 54, 40549Düsseldorf
Just as the imai Foundation the collector Julia Stoschek specialises in time-based media art.
Since 2007, this private collection that is unique in Europe has been open to the public in a former frame factory in Oberkassel, including works by Nam June Paik, Bruce Nauman and Marina Abramović. The Icelandic artist Ólafur Elíasson developed his permanent wall work “When Love Is Not Enough” for the museum. Stoschek has focused on moving pictures since the 1960s and collects videos, single and multiple projections of analogue and digital footage, multimedia environments and computer and net-based installations.
