Im Goldenen Kessel,
The golden kettle that gives the place its name is no longer in use, as now no brewing is done in the Altstadt (Old town) bar of the Schumacher brewery, rather the beer is brought from the main building in the Oststrasse.
Otherwise everything has remained the same here: On the brightly scrubbed maple tables, the quick witted Düsseldorf Köbesse (waiters), serve Rhineland specialities and typical brewery fare alongside freshly tapped Schumacher Alt beer. Especially cosy: The Kesselstübchen (Kettle lounge) on the first floor. There you can sit in thick leather armchairs and enjoy a view over the Düsseldorf Altstadt (Old town).
