Botanischer Garten

Universitätsstraße 1, 40225 Düsseldorf

An 18 metre high, hemispherical greenhouse is the retro-futuristic landmark of the Botanical garden, which adjoins the grounds of the Heinrich Heine University in the south of the city.

This so-called cold hall is well worth the trip: In 1000 square metres there are about 400 plant species growing here from the Mediterranean, California, Chile, South Africa, New Zealand and Asia. In particular, protein lovers will find a rich collection. Whether cactus, tropical food or medicinal plants: In the various departments, which are created around a large wildflower meadow, nature lovers can expect many ecological highlights.
