Sushi and ramen are among the hearty dishes of the Japanese cuisine, which are now known in this country. But the Japanese art of baking and its sweet temptations have been a largely unexplored area for many non-Japanese people.
This culinary educational gap can be closed in the most delicious way in the Bakery My Heart. On the corner of Kreuzstraße and Marienstraße, not far from Immermannstraße, there is everything the Japanese bakery heart could desire. For example, melonpan (“melon bread” in English) which is a roll of airy dough filled with cream and served with vanilla pudding or as a green matcha version. Together with matcha tea, it becomes an unusual breakfast that can be enjoyed right there, preferably at one of the pleasant window seats.
