From the Modern to the Future - Icons of Architecture in Düsseldorf

Gruppenführung

Detailed description

Anyone who wants to learn the unknown stories behind the city's well-known facades will now have the opportunity: the architecture walk takes visitors along Königsallee, through the old town and ends in the Ehrenhof.

Building designers such as Wilhelm Kreis, Daniel Libeskind, Karl Friedrich Schinkel, Bernhard Pfau and Helmut Hentrich, who left their mark on Düsseldorf, are given special mention during this tour.

In Düsseldorf, it is possible to view outstanding examples of Expressionism from the 1920s as well as Brutalism on just a few square kilometers. On Königsallee, the architecture walk focuses on the spectacular Kö-Bogen by New Yorker star architect Daniel Libeskind as well as the 96-meter-high Dreischeibenhaus and the Schauspielhaus.
