The tour will include brief historical moments of Düsseldorf's influential, rich and varied musical story to tales of what is happening now in the music scene in a city which is bursting with musical influences in all areas.

From the age when Düsseldorf was an important part of the German speaking classical music which influenced the world over, to the global influence of Kraftwerk, the pioneers of electronic music; to Unique Records, one of Europe's biggest dance record labels at home right here in Düsseldorf to the Open Source Festival - the music of tomorrow happening right here in the city.

Discover what's happening at The Robert Schumann School of Music where currently, perhaps the world's greatest classical guitar professor and his extraordinary students are causing quite a buzz  ...

Highlights of the tour will take us by the legendary club Stone am Ratinger Hof, the German punk mecca in the 1970s; The Arts Academy; The Opera House of the Deutsche Opera am Rhein, home to one of the largest ensembles in Germany and onto the Tonhalle, the world's largest planetarium when it was built in the 1920's.
