Since its opening in 1980, the Theater an der Luegalle has been gaining a firm position in Düsseldorf's theatre scene.

Apart from the large number of regular faithful visitors, more and more young people are falling in love with the small cosy theatre, its particular attraction being the audience's nearness to the stage and the intimate atmosphere.

The repertoire covers a wide range: contemporary plays, revues, attractive and sometimes unusual guest performances, Sunday matinees and Monday soirées (both once a month).
