Designed by the renowned architect Prof. O. M. Ungers as a classical chamber music hall seating around 800, the Robert-Schumann-Saal is integrated into Museum Kunstpalast, thus offering an unusual link between art and music in the midst of the arts centre Kulturzentrum Ehrenhof, which, jointly with the Tonhalle, NRW Forum and Museum Kunstpalast, is an important hub of cultural life within the city of Düsseldorf.

With his high-class architecture, classical yet modern interior design and its excellent acoustics, the Robert-Schumann-Saal provides an attractive forum for a wide spectrum of arts events. Be it a classical concert, jazz, film, comedy or lectures and symposia – it offers an ideal setting with an exclusive ambiance for a wide variety of cultural programmes.

Alongside numerous guest performances promoted by external promoters, the Robert-Schumann-Saal also plays host to its own concert series currently focusing on classical music in unusual contexts and interdisciplinary programmes.
