The first guided tour of the world-famous Art Academy was organised by Norbert Kricke in 1972. Since then, the academy opens its doors for five days at the end of every winter semester for a presentation of the works of the around 550 students.

The students are always happy to discuss their work. The tour is the local media event for the alternative art scene: a highlight for friends of the arts, those taking an interest in the arts and gallery owners who want to know the names of tomorrow today.
